I get that u did that for education but still i imagine the majority of them fish died because they do damage to the fish which could kill em in end. But hey i can appreciate the video and appreciate that u stressed that the gill net is a last resort sorta thing.

Crawfish technically are fish, I mean they're shellfish, but they still are fish. They have gills and live and breathe underwater, so although they might not be what you typically think of when you hear the word fish, they technically are fish nevertheless.

I have rolled a few up as emptied was a 2 person job though 1 person placing fish in the creel as they took them out the other rolling net up 1 x12 x 4'6" for a 4 foot net but mine were only 20 or 40 feet nets a 75' would be a task

Bob, I once came across scientist working in the woods. They had a very fine black colored net stretched out and were catching birds. They were doing something to them and then releasing them unharmed. That said, once the gill net is used to catch fish couldn't you stretch the broken net out in the bushed to capture doves and other birds for survival food?
Please stop gill netting its bad and illegal in Texas even if it is used for an example look๐
